I had read recently about his retirement due to Parkinson&#8217;s yet I thought he would carry on a while longer like Michael J Fox. Bob had a fantastic body of work in America and the UK. However,\u00a0<em>Who Framed Roger Rabbit?<\/em>&#8216;s technical marvels succeeded through his great acting under rigorous conditions when digital-film capabilities just weren&#8217;t feasible. I can&#8217;t think of a movie he did I found completely awful\u00a0because Bob was the silver lining. Although I&#8217;ve never seen\u00a0<em>Mario Brothers<\/em>, I bet I could stomach it thanks to him and Dennis Hopper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Al Feldstein isn&#8217;t super well-known, he was a more behind-the-scenes person at\u00a0<em>MAD<\/em> during its heyday. Through\u00a0him, many great writers and artists joined the magazine: Prohias (<i>Spy v. Spy<\/i>), Dave Berg (<em>The Lighter Side of\u2026<\/em>), Don Martin, etc. Therefore, numerous contemporary humor owes a huge debt of gratitude to Al:\u00a0<em>The Onion<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, National Lampoon, The Simpsons<\/em> and every person who went through that infamous sarcastic phase from nine to 13. When I was growing up in the Seventies,\u00a0<em>MAD\u00a0<\/em>was puzzling, funny and considered somewhat naughty. It&#8217;s pretty tame compared to what exists now but in 1977, doing a parody called\u00a0<em>Crappy Days<\/em> was pushing the envelope.
